Domaine de la Gagère lies between Autun and Luzy, in the heart of the Burgundy region, nestling in the hills of the southern Morvan, a beautiful granite landscape with extensive woods and meadows abounding in springs and lakes. From the campsite you can enjoy a spectacular vista of the Morvan.
The nature park is well known for its adventurous walking routes, streams and scenic landscape. You can enjoy great walking and cycling trips, there are various small mountain lakes and waterfalls to visit, but just a day trip through the Morvan reveals astonishing natural scenery. Descriptions of some shorter and longer walking routes that can be followed from the campsite are available from our reception and online.
You can experience Burgundy’s rich cultural history in the Roman town of Autun, the beautiful Beaune, the picturesque village of Vézelay, with its Sainte Madelaine basilica, the Abbey of Cluny, Burgundy’s capital Dijon and the excavations of Mont Beuvray, also known as Bibracte.
In this land, old traditions are cherished: a good Burgundian kitchen and a very warm welcome. Not to mention the great wines! Not far from La Gagère there are also various attractive golf courses, where you can play for a reasonable price.
